Worship is . . .

Worship is something that a can be uniquely and individually offered by a person towards God. I personally define worship as a personal encounter with God, an outpouring of praises unto the Lord, and an awesome experience and expression of an inexplicable joy of having Jesus into my life.

Worship is a unique experience of an encounter with God. Through worship, we meet God face-to-face and we have an intimate moment to pour out our hearts to Him. In our worship, we utter words of love and thanksgiving to all that the Lord has done for us. We can see our nothingness to God’s greatness in our life. It is also a moment of reverence and honoring God’s works in us. Through this encounter, we enjoy His sweet presence in our midst.

Worship is also the outpouring of praises unto the Lord. It is acknowledging His faithfulness, His magnificence, His awesomeness, and His glory. It is bringing back all the praises and glory to our God. Through our praises, we magnify God’s presence in our lives and allow us to focus only on Jesus and on God’s wonderful love for us. It is our ultimate response to God and the strongest and highest expression of our faith unto Him.

Worship is an expression and an awesome experience of an inexplicable joy of having Jesus in our life. It brings us to that wonderful joy of being with Jesus and that nothing else matters but Him. Our worship towards God brings down His love that occupies and fills that empty space in our heart. Something just fills the heart that creates so much joy, a joy that brings peace in the midst of the chaos that one may feel at certain situations in life. In worship, God is the center of it all. He is the only reason why we truly worship.
